Instagram has recently released an update that allows you to add hashtags and links to your profile in your account description. The creators of the service write that this is a new opportunity to express yourself and show your followers what you are really interested in.
Hashtag - This word is a label by which posts are grouped, and it is easy to navigate for users.
Sorting by hashtags - This is an indispensable function, but recently, many people have started to use it for other purposes.
Using unique words, you can divide all your Instagram photos into different topics in the tag.
You can use hashtags:
- in any part of the text;
- at the end of the text;
- in the comments.
The hashtag can be written in Russian or English and contain numbers. No spaces are allowed.
Instagram remembers hashtags, and the next time you click on the grid and type the first letter, it will offer you a ready-made word.
Hashtag clickability feature in the profile is much more useful for business accounts, as it allows you to navigate through the sections of a personal blog or collect the entire range of products in a single catalog.
Everything would be fine, but there is a problem: during the implementation of this function, many people face the fact that tags are simply not clickable.
How to make them clickable:
Step 1
Place the hashtag under the relevant post, for example, #Feedback under the post with reviews
Step 2
Go to the "edit profile" section, write a hashtag and be sure to select it from the search.
Step 3
Click save, and voila, everything works!
Instagram is interested in users spending more time in the app, and subscribing to hashtags will add a lot of new content to the feeds. It will also make this content, which currently consists of photos from a limited number of users, more diverse and unpredictable. In addition, a user's subscription to a particular hashtag will tell Instagram more about their interests, which will allow them to target their ads more accurately.
