Instagram introduces a new feature for recovering hacked accounts.

Soon, we will be able to restore hacked accounts quickly, easily, and without technical support.

How will it work?

1️⃣ Simplified recovery, now you don't need to fill out a special form to recover from hacking. It will be enough to specify the email or phone number that was linked to the profile. After that, you will receive a message with a code that you will need to enter when logging in.

2️⃣ Recovery will work even if the hackers have changed the username and specified their contact information.

3️⃣ If the hackers had the task of stealing your username, they will not be able to do so, as now, after changing the username, the old username is not released, but frozen for 14 days, during which the old owner can cancel the name change.
